Day sail or short cruise destinations in the Firth of Clyde include Rhu, the Gare Loch, Loch Long, Loch Goil, Holy Loch and the Kyles of Bute. Visit the Victorian seaside resorts of Millport (Greater Cumbrae), Largs and Ardrossan or sail to the Isle of Arran and destinations on Loch Fyne such as Tarbert, Portavadie and Otter Ferry.

Longer cruises and mile-builders provide ample opportunity to explore Scotland’s north-west coast via the Mull of Kintyre or Crinan Canal. Mainland destinations include Campbeltown, Ardfern, Oban, Arisaig and Mallaig. You might also seek out enticingly remote places like Loch Nevis in Knoydart. The Inner Hebrides comprise a diverse range of islands, such as Gigha, Jura, Islay, Skye, Mull, Iona, Staffa and the Small Isles of Eigg, Muck, Canna and Rum. The Outer Hebridean islands, including Barra, North and South Uist, Harris and Lewis, lie further north-west. You might even sail to Scotland’s most westerly point – St Kilda. Alternatively, a longer cruise or mile-builder could take you to one of Scotland’s neighbours. Destinations in Northern Ireland include Belfast, Bangor, Ballycastle and Rathlin Island in Co. Antrim. Sailing south could take you to Dublin, Liverpool or the Isle of Man.
